Fix This Recipe
What do you do when a recipe calls for say, non-dairy topping (the fake frozen stuff,) or shortening or maybe canned soup and you don't want to use those things. Let's take another scenario; you can't have dairy and your recipes calls for milk and butter? One more; eggs...you simply don't have any and you're making cookies. Do you know how to "fix" your recipe? I have help for all of the above dilemmas. A student once gave me a recipe that called for sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese and Cool Whip, among other things, and I "fixed" it with healthier ingredients.
